Very impressed with the level of relief I received from sciatica pain from my massage with Richard. The massage helped far more than a spinal cortisone injection. I have already passed on his information to others. Also, thank you for answering the phone when I needed it!

I recently received my first ever professional massage from this place, and with all the great reviews I read about Christy the owner, I made sure to schedule the ashiatsu on the rocks special with her. It was everything I expected it to be, and more! Her hands and feet feel like brush strokes, so worth every penny! can't wait to go back!

Carpe Diem massage is a great place to escape from reality and receive a massage that fits your needs. The location is charming, and peaceful. She gives an amazing pregnancy massage, in fact I fell asleep on her table during my pregnancy massage. It is worth every penny, but it is best to book in advance because she books out fast! Keep up the good work.

So I hardly ever go out of my way to rave about a business. But I just got done having a 90 minute birthday massage. And it has by far exceeded any other massage experience I've ever had. I found Carpe Diem Massage on Yelp. Not only was my masseuse Rachel extremely skilled. But it's such a nice place, and all the other staff are were very personable. During the part of the session I was on my back, a peppermint scented eye mask was placed over my eyes. Which smelled amazing. And when the session was finished I got a glass of citrus water and a ghirardelli chocolate! The prices are really reasonable here especially considering the quality of skill and service here! I recommend anyone near the Tacoma area to check it out!

I discovered Christy, Carpe Diem's owner, several years ago, and she has been massaging my back into fabulous shape ever since.
I've had many massages, both in spa atmospheres and doctor's offices, and Christy is just the best. Her studio is beautiful and inviting and she is an expert therapist. She never fails to get whatever is bugging me, and I have had plenty of back aches. Sometimes, I think it's starting in one spot, but she'll find whatever the trigger is and get that.
She's a professional business woman and a great listener. She's like a therapist, girlfriend and doctor all rolled into one. I love this woman! Once, I was chatting with another customer in her cozy waiting room, and the gal said she loved her because she didn't chat the whole time she was massaging her. That was telling because I love to talk during my massage, and usually chatter with Christy the whole time. But she is a good enough massage therapist to judge whether someone needs meditative quiet or not.
The only downfall about Carpe Diem is, like with anyone good at what they do, Christy gets busy. (She does have another therapist working with her now.) But this weekend, when my back was spasming and I could barely move, she fit me into her schedule.
I told my son once that Christy has strong hands and he asked if she used them to fight bad guys. I laughed and said she just fights bad muscle spasms.
My kiddo was right, though. Christy deserves to be called a super hero because she is just that amazing.

I've been a regular client at Carpe Diem for several years, and prior to finding Carpe Diem, I was getting massage therapy 2-3 times per week for an injury. I am used to receiving high quality massage therapy and I am reallllly picky, so I usually plan ahead and book time with Christy or Kehau for an amazing deep tissue massage. I have scar tissue in my shoulders, so I try to make it in at least once a month to help work out my aches (oh, and there's nothing better than their pregnancy massage to help keep mama's-to-be happy!). These ladies know their stuff, and I always leave feeling relieved and relaxed.
This past weekend I tweaked my whole upper back/chest pretty good and was in considerable pain. I made a last minute appointment with Richard for the following day, and I'm sooo glad I did. After a quick explanation of how I'd hurt myself, he got to work and gave me a fantastic and very technical massage. In an hour, he worked through all of the areas I'd knotted up, and I left feeling good as new.

Oh Christy,
I have never in my life had such a ridiculously fun time getting a massage. And a great one at that!
I was in the middle of two marathons in a month and my regular masseuse was booked- however she and I spoke previously and she asked whether I had went to see Christy at Carpe Diem. The answer of course was no but I decided to book my next one with her.
It's a lovely space with a fireplace and a cozy, homey feel. The bed was nice and toasty and once I got started, I was in heaven.
You know when you meet somebody and immediately hit it off? (BTW-what does that even mean?!). I felt like she was the long lost sister I always wanted. She's got a wicked sense of humor, which I love and also a calming personality. A perfect mixture! No awkwardness and I was left wanting to nap but also happy because I hadn't laughed that hard in a while.
I'm sad to be far away that I most likely won't be able to see her for some time but if you're in the area, definitely go see her. You won't regret it!

Went for my first massage today in YEARS.
Decided to treat my boyfriend and I to a couples massage, and turned to yelp to help me find a spot. The reviews here are very accurate.
They have super friendly staff, the place is very quaint and clean.
Our massage therapists were Jasmine and Shainelle, and they were AMAZING. Very sweet, and knew what areas to focus on with very little direction. I was in pure bliss for an hour.
Prices were very reasonable, paid $170 for the couples massage prior to gratuity.
Would definitely come back to get another massage, and would love to have those two girls again!
